{"id":56,"date":"2023-05-01T09:08:13","date_gmt":"2023-05-01T07:08:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.flak.be\/?post_type=albums&#038;p=56"},"modified":"2023-05-09T16:22:33","modified_gmt":"2023-05-09T14:22:33","slug":"ears-have-no-eyelids","status":"publish","type":"albums","link":"https:\/\/www.flak.be\/en\/albums\/ears-have-no-eyelids\/","title":{"rendered":"Ears Have No Eyelids"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This record is the result of half a century of talking with the King&#8230; of instruments.Since my vinyl\u00a0Touche A Touche\u00a0in 1984, this solitary conversation is my favorite ground&#8230; I am aware that it would take me several lifetimes to know the 88 keys of my keyboard, therefore, in case of a possible reincarnation, I would choose again and again the piano as a faithful companion.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>On this road I met four teachers:<\/p>\r\n<p>-Colette-Claire Guillerez, an old lady with a degree from the Paris Conservatoire, left-handed and&#8230; not exactly &#8220;perky&#8221;*, but so quiet that she ended up becoming a nun in Compi\u00e8gne. Her playing and her pianistic gestures were incredibly soft&#8230;<\/p>\r\n<p>-Ron Wilson, jazz singer and pianist, joint smoker, shy, humble and charming&#8230;whose voice captured the pain and revolt of the African-American people.<\/p>\r\n<p>-Frederick Rewsky, New York composer, Jewish of Polish origin, an anarchist, virtuoso pianist, great admirer of Ludwig Van Beethoven and famous for his 36 variations &#8216;The people will never be defeated&#8217;.<\/p>\r\n<p>-Satiena Soulama, Mandingo balafonist, Gouin ethnic group&#8217;s griot in Banfora, province of Como\u00e9 in Burkina-Faso, a star unfairly forgotten in the sky of African music.<\/p>\r\n<p>Ears have no eyelids\u00a0pays tribute to these masters who have inspired my modest musical journey and to all those who have ears without borders&#8230;<\/p>\r\n<p>*In French &#8220;guilleret&#8221;
